In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha yesterday addressed Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayay Smriti Vyakhyan organised by Research and Development Foundation for Integral Humanism through virtual conference.<br />''<br />''Speaking on this occasion, the Lt. Governor said that today's transformation in every sector of Jammu and Kashmir has brought economic strength to march towards a golden future. He said that the UT Administration is making every effort to ensure that benefits of development reach all sections of the society and have accelerated efforts to improve the physical infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. He maintained that there are special schemes for youth and women in J&amp;K to contribute to sustainable development.<br />''<br />''While paying rich tributes to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the Lt. Governor said that they were the visionaries who laid the foundation for the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the nation.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr Sinha said that after the integration, strengthening of&nbsp; Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) was one of the major steps taken in J&amp;K which has ensured greater participation of people in the developmental activities. He added that the delivery system of welfare programmes has been made more effective with accountability and transparency in the government machinery.</span><br />
