<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,  Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu has condemned the killing of a Sarpanch by terrorists in Anantnag district on Monday.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Murmu called it a cowardly act of terrorists and said that the attack on any public representative is an attack on the democratic set up.      <br />'' <br />'' He said that those behind the killing are the enemies of humanity and directed authorities to spare no efforts in bringing the culprits to justice.<br />'' <br />'' Ajay Pandita, a Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch of the Larkipora area of Lok Bhawan in Anantnag district was shot dead by terrorists in his native village last evening. His last rites were performed  today at Jammu.<br />''<br />''Mr Murmu expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members of Ajay Pandita.</span><br />
