In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu has called for perspective planning and integrated development of Srinagar city. Addressing officials in a meeting in Srinagar, Mr. Murmu also sought details about the maintenance of parks and gardens in the Srinagar city.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Murmu said that parks in Srinagar should be happening places and impressed upon the officials to keep various facilities available in these parks. He urged the concerned departments to ensure strong foundations and beautiful designs in all developmental projects to be taken up in the future.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Murmu also sought details about the maintenance of parks and gardens in the Srinagar city and directed for walling and besides their beautification for attracting local and outside tourists. The LG also called for the removal of all encroachments and action against violators.<br />'' <br />'' While seeking details about the functioning of existing parking facilities in Srinagar city and construction of other ongoing parking facilities, he directed the officers to modernize these facilities so that vehicle owners can access and make payment with smart card. He also called for converting vacant land near busy places as parking spaces.<br />''
