<span style="color: #222222;">Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu has  directed for achieving the target of providing 100 per cent piped water supply to each household in the Union Territory by 2021. The Lieutenant Governor passed the directions while chairing a meeting to review the functioning of Irrigation and Flood Control Department yesterday. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Calling conservation of water sources as critical, the he called for active participation of Local Bodies and Panchayat raj institutions in water conservation. The Lieutenant Governor also emphasized on convergence of MGNREGA and other Local Bodies' funds to protect the sources of water.</span><br />
