J&K LG directs to form Covid Management Teams consisting of DCs, SPs, CMOs

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in an effort to strengthen the COVID control efforts across the Union Territory, has directed for constituting Covid Management Teams consisting of Deputy Commissioners, SPs, Chief Medical Officers besides other senior officers including Principal of the concerned Government Medical College for ensuring effective Covid management. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Sinha also directed all the district administrations for speeding up the Vaccination drive besides intensifying testing and contacts tracing across the Union Territory.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile in the highest ever single day surge of positive cases in the Union Territory, new 4650 cases were reported today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Out of these, 3187 cases were reported from Kashmir Division whereas 1463 cases were reported from Jammu Division.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">37 fatalities were also reported in Jammu and Kashmir today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the Lietenant Governor Manoj Sinha has directed for ensuring implementation of an effective Covid Management plan from district level to the villages at Panchayat level.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Emphasizing on proper functionality of oxygen generation plants, he asked both the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir to keep close monitoring on functioning of the oxygen generation plants.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Sinha also suggested for roping in religious leaders and elected representatives for creating awareness among the people regarding the advisories and covid SOPs in an effort to contain the spread of the contagious virus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the Lieutenant Governor approved the special financial incentives for Covid Warriors of Health and Medical Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The incentives will be Rs10,000 per month for Resident Doctors, PGs and Medical Officers, Rs 7,000 for Nursing & Paramedical staff and Rs 5,000 for drivers and sweepers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The incentives shall be initially given for a period of three months and shall be payable from this month onwards. </span><br />''  <br />
