In Jammu and Kashmir, Secretary, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&amp;CA), Simrandeep Singh today reviewed the implementation of One Nation One Ration Card scheme and Aadhar seeding of ration cards in the Union Territory.<br />''<br />'' Mr Singh reviewed in detail the targets that each district is required to meet to successfully roll-out the scheme as per the timelines set by the government.<br />''<br />''It was informed that Jammu and Kashmir has to achieve 100 percent Aadhaar seeding of all Ration Cards up to the beneficiary level, for successfully rolling out the scheme.<br />''<br />''&nbsp; As on date, Kulgam, Anantnag, Shopian, Kishtwar, Pulwama and Ramban have achieved more than 90 percent Aadhar linking of ration cards. However, Srinagar, Baramulla, Reasi and few districts of Jammu province have low percentage of Aadhar seeding. The Secretary informed that the department has been working on mission mode on this scheme for the last one month.<br />''<br />''&nbsp; The current percentage of Aadhaar seeding at Ration Card level is 87 percent, whereas at beneficiary level the seeding percentage is 71 percent. In the last 20 days, the Food and Civil Supplies Department has been able to link Aadhaar of nearly two lakh beneficiaries. The department has also been able to weed out 1.19 lakh duplicate or silent beneficiaries from the electronic portal of the ration cards management system. It is estimated that in next 40 days, the department would end up weeding out an estimated 2 lakh 50 thousand duplicate beneficiaries.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''One Nation One Ration Card scheme has to be rolled out in Jammu and Kashmir in phased manner from July to August this year. The beneficiaries of the Union Territory will also be required to draw their ration only after authentication of their biometrics at the Fair Price Shops, from September this year onwards. This will lead to disbursement of ration as per actual beneficiaries existing on ground.</span><br />
