J&K: Kathua DDC reviews progress on PMGSY projects

In Jammu and Kashmir, Kathua District Deputy Commissioner  O.P Bhagat yesterday reviewed the progress under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in a meeting. AIR correspondent reports that the DDC took project-wise review of progress of roads under construction in the district. Issues related to clearance from Forest Department, land acquisition and others were discussed.<br />'' <br />''Executive Engineer, PMGSY was asked to resolve the issues and pace up the construction work for time bound completion of the roads. Meanwhile, he also reviewed the progress on saturation of Kisan Credit Cards in a meeting with Agriculture Department and Bankers and stressed upon the officers to ensure maximum coverage of eligible farmers and passed strict instructions to the concerned for speedy clearance of pending KCC cases to achieve 100 per cent target. He asked the concerned departments to mobilize their field staff to create awareness regarding KCC scheme.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The DDC also reviewed progress under education Schemes, ICDS and Social Welfare sectors, Ladali Beti and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao schemes and stressed upon the departments to ensure effective and transparent implementation of all the schemes to ensure that the benefits percolate down to the eligible beneficiaries.</span><br />
