J&K journalist Sati Sahni passes away

Veteran Journalist of Jammu and Kashmir S. P. Sahni passed away in New Delhi yesterday after prolonged illness. Popularly known as Sati Sahni in journalistic fraternity , he was the former Director General of J&K Information Department. Sahni was associated with Reuters from 1938 to 1945 and reported the Indo-Pak partition in 1947. He has many books to his credit. Sahni had covered most of the important political events in Kashmir during his active journalistic career spanning over six decades. He was also ranked among the best photo-journalists in the country. He had the rare collection of photographs involving leading figures in the country including Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and national and international dignitaries visiting J&K State.
