J&K: ISM distributes immune boosting AYUSH drugs to fight pandemic

<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine J&K has been tirelessly reaching out to the people of Kashmir Division and distributed Immune boosting AYUSH drugs since the spread of disease in Kashmir in an effort to fight the COVID-19 in its own way.<br />''<br />''Frontline workers, service providers in Red Zones, their families, contacts of COVID positive cases, Government employees, security personnel and persons with co-morbidities are among the beneficiaries who were given these immune boosters.</span><br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports, Dr Iftikhar Hussain Gazi, Divisional Nodal Officer Indian System of Medicines, in Kashmir said that more than four lakh 68 thousand people have been provided Ayush medicines in Kashmir since the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic in the valley. He said that the process of distribution is still in vogue on a daily basis with proper mechanisms in place to identify the beneficiaries and deliver the AYUSH drugs and added that the process is being properly monitored by a designated team of experts in Kashmir division.<br />''<br />''Awareness campaigns are also organized by the field institutions of ISM regarding preventive measures for breaking the COVID-19 chain. The department started tele-medicine services and expert doctors of AYUSH were entrusted with the job of providing medical advice to the general public in wake of the lockdown.<br />''<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Besides this, the general public is also sensitized about COVID SOPs and in order to improve lung capacity people are informed about doing yoga and other physical exercises for healthy life. </span><br />
