J&K interlocutors conclude third visit to State; to submit report early January

The group of interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir today concluded the third visit to state after two days of extensive consultations with leaders of different political parties and ethnic and religious communities including the Grand Mufti of Kashmir. Addressing the media on the conclusion of the visit in Srinagar today, the Chief interlocutor, Dileep Padgaonker said that the consultations were conducted along two broad lines, one pertaining to issues related to governance and confidence building measures and other on issues related to evolving abroad consensus on finding permanent political settlement in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the group will submit its report within ten days. In reply to a question he said that there was a perceptable movement forward on the earlier recommendations of the group. He said there was need for urgent efforts to reduce the trust deficit between rulers and ruled.
