<span style="color: #222222;">Chief Justice, Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Gita Mittal, has reviewed the functioning of all the District Courts of UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a phased manner, she has conducted a series of reviews of these vital Judicial entities besides holding exclusive interactions with the Judicial Officers and other officials through virtual mode.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Justice recently reviewed the working of District Courts of Kargil, Shopian, Kulgam and Reasi besides holding interaction with Judicial Officers of Kathua, Poonch, Doda and Ganderbal districts.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She took stock of functioning of District Courts of Budgam, Samba, Rajouri and Bandipora districts and was joined by administrative Judges of the respective districts during the interaction through Virtual mode.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Reviewing the functioning of District Courts, the Chief Justice exhorted upon the Judicial Officers of these districts to expeditiously dispose of old cases with thrust on main cases.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She advised the Magistrates to ensure prompt execution of maintenance orders so that the persons in need of immediate maintenance are able to reap the actual benefit of maintenance order in time.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Justice also asked the Judicial Officers to devote their time in identifying priority cases, discussing the ways and means to reduce pendency of cases and disposal of cases pertaining to weaker sections of the society as well as of under trial prisoners.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She advised them to enhance the number of hearing of cases of emergent nature through video conferencing.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Taking stock of issues regarding infrastructure in District Courts, the Chief Justice asked the Principal District and Sessions Judges to aggressively take up this urgent matter with the administration as well as the concerned Civil Departments.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She also reviewed the status of ongoing projects and land acquisition proceedings for construction of new Court Complexes.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Justice shall also be interacting with the Judicial officers of the remaining ten districts in a phased manner.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
