J&K heading towards hung Assembly, BJP likely to emerge largest single part in J’khand

Trends available for Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir so far indicate that the state is heading towards a hung assembly as no party appear to be getting majority of 44 seats in the 87-member house.

In Jharkhand, the trends indicate that the BJP is likely to emerge as the largest single party in 81-member Assembly with a lead in 35 seats. Its alliance partner All Jharkhand Students Union is leading in 3 seats.

In Jammu and Kashmir, trends from all the 87 seats available. PDP is leading in 22 constituencies; BJP in 24; National Conference in 18; Congress-16 and others are leading in 7 constituencies. The BJP, which had 11 seats in the outgoing assembly is likely to make major gains. The ruling National Conference had 28 members and PDP 21. The Congress had 17 members in the house.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of National Conference is leading in Beerwah by over 2,170 votes, while he is trailing in Sonawar constituency by more than 3,400 votes. PDP leader Mufti Mohammed Sayed is leading in Anantnag constituencies by a margin of over 4,000 votes.

Sajjad Gani Lone of JKPC is leading in Handwara Assembly seat by more than 2,400 while Dr.Krishan Lal of BJP is leading in Chhamb constituency by over 13,000 votes. Sitting MLA Tara Chand of Congress is trailing in this constituency. Ghulam Nabi Lone of PDP is leading in Chrar-i-sharief by a margin of over 3,200 votes. Sitting MLA Abdul Rahim Rather of National Conference is trailing. PDP candidate Aijaz Ali Khan is leading in Uri constituency. Mohammed Abass Wani of PDP is leading in Gulmarg by a margin of 1,000 votes. Ranbir Singh Pathania of of BJP is ahead of Harsh Dev Singh of Panthers Party by a margin of over 7,100 votes. Ali Mohammed Sagar of National Conference is leading in Khanyar constituency by more than 1,100 votes over his nearest rival Mohammed Khurshid Alam of PDP. In Kargil, Congress candidate is in the lead while in Zanskar constituency, an Independent has taken early lead.

In Jharkhand, all 81 constituencies trends are now available with us. BJP is leading in 35 constituencies, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) in 8, Congress in 6 constituency, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in 22, Rashtriya Janta Dal in 3, All Jharkhand Students Union in 3 and others in 4 seat.

JMM candidate and Chief Minister Hemant Soren is leading in Barhait constituency while he is trailing in Dumka where BJP candidate Lois Marandi is ahead of him. Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda is leading in Saraikela seat. JMM candidate Niral Purty is leading in Majhganon seat against his nearest rival Jai Bharat Samta Party leader and former Chief Minister Madhu Koda by over more than eleven thousand nine hundred votes, while in Chakradharpur seat JMM candidate Sashibhushan Samad is leading over twenty one thousand eight hundred votes against his nearest rival BJP candidate Navami Oraon.

BJP candidate Chandreshwar Prasad Singh is leading in Ranchi Constituency by over twenty eight thousand eight hundred votes against his nearest rival JMM candidate Mahua Maji, while in Giridih seat BJP candidate is ahead of JVM(Prajatantrik) party candidate by over ten thousand eight hundred votes. JVM candidate Babulal Marandi is leading in Dhanwar constituency. RJD candidate Ram Chandra Singh is leading by a margin of more than six thousand nine hundred votes against his nearest rival BJP candidate in Manika seat. In Hatia seat Naveen Jaiswal of JVM(Prajatantrik Party) is leading over eighteen thousand votes against Bhartiya Janta Party candidate. CPI(ML) candidate Vinod Kumar Singh is leading over three hundred votes over his nearest rival BJP candidate Nagendra Mahto in Bagodar seat.
