<span style="color: #222222;">In the  Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the world famous Dal Lake in Srinagar today witnessed a grand Shikara rally organized to commemorate birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as part of 'Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav'.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Shikaras were traditionally decorated splendidly which passed through several scenic spots of Dal giving a complete festive look to the 'Lake of Flowers'.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The rally, which was held under the banner 'Azadi ka Amrut and Celebrating National Unity Day', was flagged off by Director Tourism Kashmir, Dr G N Itoo.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to the media, the Director said that holding of this rally in the prominent urban lake holds a special significance towards tourism development as Dal Lake is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir popularly known as the jewel of Srinagar.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that the government is dedicatedly working towards taking J&K high in the world of tourism through the launch of numerous innovative measures. He added that it is being ensured that all stakeholders are involved in tourism development programmes for effective outcome.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Itoo maintained that such kind of events are being organized frequently in the Valley by the administration which has not only entertained the audience but is immensely helping towards tourism development in Kashmir. </span><br />
