J&K Govt to open 53 new ITIs’ and 142 skill development centres in state

The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to open 53 new Industrial Training Institutes and 142 Skill Development Centres in Jammu and Kashmir. This was stated by J&K Minister for Medical and Technical Education, Mr. R.S. Chib after inaugurating an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) building at Nowshera in border district of Rajouri in Jammu Division district.The building has been constructed at a cost of 4.75 crore rupees. The Minister asked the youth of the State to avail benefits of courses running in these institutions to open vistas of employment for them. He also hailed the Prime Minister for announcing opening of more ITIs to cover the maximum areas up-to 2022. Mr. Chib also laid foundation of a Mini stadium at Nowshehra which will be constructed at a cost of 2.68 crore rupees. Mr. Chib said that for promotion of sports activities in rural area, the Union Government is mulling to develop Stadia in all the villages of the country up-to 2022.
