J&K govt to launch e-ticketing in SRTC soon

The Jammu and Kashmir government would soon launch e-ticketing in State Road Transport Corporation for the convenience of the passengers. <br/><br/>This vital facility will be a step forward towards ensuring prompt services to the commuters, besides, streamlining the functioning of the department. <br/><br/>This was stated by J&K Minister for Transport, Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon while chairing a meeting of transport officers of Jammu province at Jammu today. <br/><br/>The minister said that State government is embarking upon a project proposal to create passenger welfare fund in transport department for providing immediate relief to the kith and kin of those who have expired or injured during road accidents or related incidents. <br/><br/>Asking the officers to provide pro-people and an accountable administration, Sh. Akhoon said that government is planning to computerize the regional transport offices in other districts of Jammu province.
