<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Department of Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries is contemplating to launch several new schemes aimed at enhancing the income of farmers. This was stated by Principal Secretary Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Dr Agar Hassan Samoon during a meeting in Jammu convened to review the progress on implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes. </span> <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Dr Samoon emphasized the need for implementation of benefit-oriented schemes in a time-bound manner to achieve the set targets. He said that Animal and Sheep Husbandry is a big industry that caters to needs of a large chunk of population adding several innovative steps are underway towards further streamlining of the sector.</span><br />
