<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, the Government has ordered freezing of boundaries of all administrative units in the Union Territory till the completion of Census 2021. AIR  Correspondent reports that in exercise of the power conferred by clause (iv) of rule 8 of the Census Rules, 1990, and in supersession of all notification issued on this behalf, the Government of J&K freezes the boundaries of Districts/Tehsils, Municipalities, Towns, Revenue villages and other Administrative units in the whole Union Territory w.e.f the 1st of July, 2023 till completion of Census 2021. The notification for the same has been issued by the Planning Development and Monitoring Department.</span><br />
