J&K govt doubles District Capex Budget for current fiscal

<span style="color: #222222;">In a historic decision, Jammu and Kashmir government has more than doubled District Capex Budget for the current fiscal. It has allocated over 12,600 crore rupees, which is more than double compared to the previous year's budget of 5134 crore rupees.<br />''<br />''The District Capex Budget has been doubled for the equitable development of Jammu & Kashmir with active involvement of Panchayats, BDCs and DDCs. The District Capex Budget for all 20 districts was approved during a high-level meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Srinagar yesterday.<br />''<br />''Lieutenant Governor maintained that community-based planning will play a key role in the implementation of the development works. Mr Sinha said that with this historic move, the three-tier Panchayati Raj system has been further empowered through funds, functions & functionaries in the Union Territory to cater to the developmental needs of the people.</span><br />
