Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered a complete ban on transfer and posting its officials till further orders so that they could devote their attention to relief and rehabilitation work in flood affected areas.
An official spokesman said, the state government has also rescinded all transfers and adjustments and attachments made by the School Education Department since the first of this month.
State government has also announced the setting up of Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund to receive donations from the individuals, business establishments and NGOs intending to donate for relief and rehabilitation of floods affected people.
Contributions can be remitted in favour of Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund Account in Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The J&K Bank has restored its operations in the state partially.
It has reopened 312 branches in the Kashmir valley, out of a total of 379 branches. J&K Bank spokesman Anil Sharma said, 189 ATMs have also been made operational.
