Jammu and Kashmir Governor, N.N. Vohra, who is also the Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, today visited Domel and Baltal base camps of Shri Amarnath Yatra to review the arrangements being made for the forthcoming Amaranth Pilgrimage. Later chairing a high level meeting of Divisional and District Administration at Baltal base camp, the Governor reviewed the latest preparations being made for the timely commencement of the Yatra. He issued necessary instructions to the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and the Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) for taking all the possible measures to ensure that the Yatra starts on June 25 at any cost. During the meeting Sh. Vohra sought detailed report about the snow clearance on the two yatra tracks and about other arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the Yatra. Earlier, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Asgar Samoon reviewed the arrangements made by different departments at various points enroute Baltal in a high level meeting at Baltal , this morning . He asked all the departments to work with close coordination with Shri Amaranth Shrine Board (SASB) so that the yatries could not face any inconvenience during the Yatra period. Senior officers of Civil, Police, Army and Sectoral Officers of the different departments took part in the meeting.
