The Centre has released Rs 206 crore for implementation of the National Rural Drinking Water Programme in Jammu and Kashmir. The effort is to provide safe drinking water to every households in rural areas. Against the target to cover 962 rural habitations under Bharat Nirman, only 99 habitations have been covered in the state during the last fiscal.
