J&K: Forest Department builts eco-tourism park in Kupwara

With an objective to promote eco-tourism, to maintain ecological balance and to boost local employment, the Forest Department in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir has adopted Nagriwari village which is about three kilometres away from the district headquarters.<br />''<br />''The Kamraj Forest Division, Zangli adopted the picturesque village located under the foothills of thick green conifers.<br />''<br />''Talking to AIR News, Forest Officer, Nazir Ahmad, said the Department has built an eco-tourism park in the village on seven hectares of land.  <br />''   <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Forest Officer informed that the Department is also developing a seven-kilometre long tracking route from Nagriwari to Oagbal, a tribal village which has become trekkers' paradise.</span><br />
