In Jammu and Kashmir, the strike by State Government employees in support of their demands of payment of arrears has entered 7th day today. <br/><br/>Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has again reiterated the commitment of Government to pay the arrears to its employees, asking them to work with the Government in finding out solution to the issue. <br/><br/>The striking employees are demanding payment of 6th Pay Commission arrears, increase in retirement age from 58 to 60 years and regularization of all adhoc and contractual employees. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports the police, in crackdown on the striking employees, have arrested about 40 employees including two Employee Union Leaders. <br/><br/>
