J&K Election Commissioner interacts with representatives of political parties

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, State Election Commissioner K. K Sharma today interacted with the representatives of different political parties in Jammu. He said elaborate measures have been undertaken for the smooth conduct of District Development Council and Panchayat By-Elections in the Union Territory. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Sharma urged the political parties to actively participate in the ensuing elections which would go a long way in further strengthening the democratic setup besides also taking the governance to the district and grass root level.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, State Election Commissioner, K K Sharma and Chief Electoral Officer, Hirdesh Kumar today launched SVEEP activities at Nirvachan Bhawan, Jammu in view of upcoming District Development Councils, Panchayat and Municipal By-Elections. K K Sharma said  the main purpose of SVEEP campaign is to sensitise the voters regarding importance of their vote and inspire them to cast their votes in a non-partisan manner. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also said now NGOs, student communities, youth clubs and other partners of government and semi government departments and other institutions will  be involved in the SVEEP activities. The State Election Commissioner also released six radio jingles in Kashmiri, Dogri, and Hindi languages which will be aired through All India Radio Jammu and Srinagar, FM Channels and through satellite TV Channels besides in Local cable Networks.</span><br />''
