In J&K elaborate security arrangement have been made in Srinagar and other towns of the valley for Independence Day celebrations. All incoming and outgoing Vehicles from Srinagar are being checked thoroughly to thwart any attempts by the anti-national elements to disrupt the celebrations. In Srinagar, the main function will be held at Bakshi Stadium where the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will unfurl the national flag and take salute on the march past. The whole area around Bakshi Stadium has been sensitized and alert security personnel are guarding the area. Similarly in other towns of the valley, security has been beefed up and the strict vigil is being kept on the movement of anti-nationals.
