<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, J&K Police organization has started a number of welfare measures by introducing different welfare schemes for the police personnel, Special Police Officers and retired police personnel.<br />''  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Continuing these welfare efforts and to provide assistance to families in need, Shri Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police, J&K has sanctioned special relief of Rs 42.50 lakh in favour of Next of Kins (NoKs) of nine SPOs who died during their engagement with the department.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Rs five lakh each has also been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of the nine deceased SPOs who expired due to illness during the course of their engagement.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">DGP J&K Shri Dilbag Singh has also sanctioned special welfare relief out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund in favour of legal heirs of the deceased Prosecuting Officer Tahir Imran who expired due to illness while in service.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Pertinent to mention here that during this year, Rs 2.40 crores has been sanctioned in favour of 50 SPOs who sacrificed their lives for the nation or died during their engagement.</span><br />''
