In Jammu & Kashmir, following the directions of LG, Manoj Sinha, to ensure timely completion of developmental projects, DDC, Doda, Dr. D Doifode has directed Public Works (R&B) and PMGSY departments to increase men and machinery to expedite the work.<br />'' <br />''AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that the works have resumed on all under construction roads and buildings which were halted due to Covid-19 restrictions and is ongoing in full swing with close monitoring mechanism in place. Against 31 projects approved at a cost of Rs. 64.46 crore, under languishing project scheme, 3 roads and 5 bridges have been completed. The department is also eyeing to complete the rest of the ongoing works under stipulated time frame as 70% work on majority of them is complete.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">With regard to upgrading of educational infrastructure, 4 important projects under RAMSA Scheme for the construction of 100 bedded girls hostels, of which 2 stand completed. The Doda division is also constructing a 100 bedded OBC hostel at an approved project cost of Rs.3.25 crore and the project is at completion stage. The R&B Department is executing many other projects under different schemes like CRF NABARD, City and town, State sector roads and bridges, involving huge amount to create new infrastructure in the district and to provide better road connectivity to the people.</span><br />
