A Jammu and Kashmir cricketer was today detained by the Bangalore police after explosive detectors found traces of RDX in his kit bag. According to Police Commissioner; he was later released following lack of evidence. Pervez Rassol, an under-22 CK Nayudu cricket tournament, was staying at the Karnataka State Cricket Association complex in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Police sources said the young cricketer was questioned to find out if he had brought RDX in the city or his bag was earlier used to transfer the explosive.
