<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, the construction work of the Ramban Viaduct (flyover) has been completed successfully and the vital infrastructure is now ready for vehicular movement. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the Viaduct is all set to reduce the travel time from Jammu to Srinagar to a large extent.<br />''<br />'' Now the vehicular movement on the strategic Jammu-Srinagar national highway shall be from the Viaduct bypassing Ramban town and people of the town shall now have a big sigh of relief as earlier the town used to be badly choked due to heavy vehicular traffic. The Viaduct has a length of 1.08 km with four lanes wherein two lanes are for upward and two for downward journey and it was built at a cost of 328 crore rupees on Udhampur-Ramban section of the National Highway 44. <br />''<br />''The flyover was partially thrown open on June 30, 2023 during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra but it has been fully made functional yesterday and is all set to reduce the travel time largely. The completion of the Flyover will help the authorities in meeting the set target of reducing travel time from Jammu to Srinagar to 4.30 hours. The project was started long back but certain technical issues emerged due to which the work was stopped for a long time but during the last 2 years, all the bottlenecks were removed and keeping the project on top most priority it has been completed in a record time. In a social media [post, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari described the completion of the Ramban Viaduct, a remarkable feat spanning a length of 1.08 kilometers with 4 lanes. The project, built at a cost of 328 crore rupees, is situated on the Udhampur-Ramban section of National Highway-44. This extraordinary Viaduct is composed of 26 spans and employs a combination of concrete and steel girders in its structural design. Its completion significantly alleviates traffic congestion in Ramban Bazar, facilitating the smoother flow of vehicles. This monumental achievement not only propels regional economic prosperity but also augments its allure as a top-tier tourist haven. </span><br />
