Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has questioned the timing of the announcement of Block Development Council (BDC) polls by the government when all important opposition leaders are either detained or restrained from any kind of political activity in the state for over 55 days.<br />'' <br />''While reacting to the sudden announcement of BDC polls, Congress party has questioned what kind of elections would take place without creating conducive political and security the atmosphere in the state.<br />'' <br />''The party alleged that it is a mockery of democracy to hold BDC elections that too on the party basis when the majority of the opposition leaders are detained.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Party said that it would take appropriate decision with regard to the BDC polls after consulting the important stakeholders especially senior party leaders.</span><br />
