Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah underlined the importance of making the Police a modern and professional force. It should be capable of rendering best service to the people. Following a video conference with the Police District Superintendents recently, he discussed matters on modernizing the State Police Force at a high level meeting at Jammu on Wednesday morning. He said that police should be recognized as friends of people and in this direction Police Department has to make innovative and befitting efforts.
