In Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti hoisted the tri-colour at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar and took salute of the march past. Addressing the function, Ms Mufti asserted that gun will not solve any problem. <br/><br/>She maintained that violence has only brought miseries to Kashmir and is not a means to seek resolution of problems. Speaking against the backdrop of over month-long unrest in the Valley, she questioned people who have been indulging in violence. <br/><br/>The Chief Minister underlined that any remedy could be found through dialogue in a great democracy like India. She hoped Prime Minister Narendra Modi will complete the process started by from Atal Behari Vajpayee to address the state's problems.<br/><br/>In Jammu, the main function was held at the Parade Ground where Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh hoisted the tri-colour.
