In Jammu and Kashmir, an awareness cum sensitization programme for newly proposed Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) was held in Anantnag today.<br />'' <br />'' The programme was organised to promote sustainable and equitable horticulture and rural prosperity through effective credit support, related services, institution development and other initiatives by NABARD in coordination with district administration.<br />'' <br />'' The District Development Commissioner Anantnag K.K. Sidha interacted with farmers and apprised the  farmers about the concept of Farmer producer organization (FPO) to enable them to sell their produce as per their will and avoid middleman ship or broker interference. <br />''  <br />
