The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today witnessed uproarious scenes over the issue of rehabilitation of stone pelters in Kashmir. When the question hour began, the issue was raised by the BJP and the National Panthers Party Legislators who wanted an explanation from the government as to why it is keen to rehabilitate the stone pelters and is not bothered about thousands of unemployed youths. This was strongly resented by People's Democratic Party MLA Abdul Haq Khan and an Independent MLA, Engineer Abdul Rashid who normally sits in the Treasury Bench. As the two MLAs continued to create a ruckus in the Assembly despite repeated pleas by the Speaker to maintain decorum in the House, the Speaker ordered the Marshals to evict the two Legislators. This was soon followed by a walk out by the entire PDP MLAs.
