The Jammu and Kashmir assembly again witnessed uproarious scenes today when Congress members raised the issue of status of those BJP MLAs who have indulged in cross voting during the Legislative Council Election. The BJP MLAs retaliated with slogan shouting against those Congress MLAs who were allegedly involved in the sex scandal of 2006. Amid pandemonium, the speaker adjourned the House for half an hour.There were protests outside the House too. The Independent MLA Engineer Rashid, whose resolution on clemency for Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru could not be taken up in the Assembly yesterday, marched to the House along with protesting supporters. Police, however, dispersed the supporters and some of them were taken into custody while Engineer Rashid was allowed to enter the House.
