Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was adjourned finally for the day amid ruckus over the adjournment motion presented by Opposition PDP in connection with the death of a prominent National Conference worker Mohd. Yusuf allegedly in custody after being called to Chief Minister's camp office.The opposition has been demanding resignation of Chief Minister to facilitate an independent inquiry into the issue. As the House met, the Speaker ruled that normal business of question hour be taken up and he will decide about the adjournment motion afterwards. At this, opposition PDP members stood up and protested against the Speaker's decision resulting in heated exchanges and slogan shouting from both treasury and opposition benches. There was a heated exchange between Speaker and PDP member Moulvi Iftkar Ansari. The Speaker even was heard using un-parliamentary language and the member broke the fan and threw it towards the Speaker. The House was adjourned thrice before finally being adjourned for the day at 1 pm.Immediately after the House was adjourned for the day, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah read out a statement to the media refuting all allegations leveled against him and said that he has suo-moto ordered a judicial enquiry as he does not want to hide anything.
