<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army personnel was martyred and two others injured as Pakistani troops opened fire and shelled areas along the Line of Control in Poonch district today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The latest firing and shelling from across the border took place in Banwat and other areas of Shahpur-Kerni sector in Poonch district on Saturday night.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Three Indian Army personnel were injured in the Pakistani firing and were immediately evacuated to hospital, where one of them succumbed to injuries. This is the third fatality in the Pakistani firing and shelling on forward posts and villages in the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri this month.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops shelled mortars along the Line of Control in Rampur Sector of Baramulla district today, drawing effective retaliation from the Indian Army.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This is the second ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Rampur sector and the third in the North Kashmir district in the last three days.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Defence Spokesperson Col. Rajesh Kalia said that in the morning hours today, Pakistan initiated an Unprovoked Ceasefire Violation (CFV) along the LoC in Rampur Sector by firing mortars and other weapons. Indian Army, however retaliated in a befitting manner.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Yesterday Pakistani troops had violated ceasefire in Kamalkote Sector in Uri area of the district. A 48-year-old woman was killed on Friday as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the LoC in Rampur sector of the district.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Akhtar Begum, wife of Zahoor Ahmad Chechi, was killed on the spot when her house at Batgran was hit by a shell.&nbsp; Four houses and a mosque were damaged in the shelling by Pakistani troops.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Several families have taken refuge either in underground safety bunkers or moved to safer places elsewhere in the Uri tehsil of Baramulla district following the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistani Army.</span>
