J&K: Army personnel martyred, civilian injured as Pakistani Army shells villages, forward posts along LoC in Rajouri & Poonch

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army personnel was martyred and a civilian injured today, as the Pakistani Army heavily shelled villages and forward posts along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts. <br />''<br />''Defence sources said, the Pakistan Army opened fire and shelled civilian areas and forward posts in the Nowshera sector this morning, leaving an Army Jawan dead and a villager injured. <br />''<br />''The martyred soldier was identified as Naik Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Village Harchowal in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. This is the fourth consecutive day of firing and shelling by the Pakistan Army. Indian troops guarding the border gave a hard hitting reply. <br />''<br />''Last night also, several houses were damaged as Pakistani troops opened fire and shelled mortars in over a dozen villages along the LoC in Nowshera and Balakote sectors with heavy mortars. Indian Army retaliated effectively.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, an Army man died and another suffered injuries in a road accident on Srinagar-Leh road today after an Army vehicle fell into a gorge near Ranga mode Sonmarg.</span><br />''
