J&K: Army jawan martyred in ceasefire violation along LoC

In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army jawan was martyred as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in the Poonch sector last evening. Defence spokesperson Lt. Col. Manish Mehta said, the Pakistani army initiated unprovoked firing on the Indian Army posts at around 5 PM in Krishna Ghati sector. <br/><br/>The spokesman said, in the exchange of fire, Naib Subedar Jagram Singh Tomar, resident of Madhya Pradesh, was grievously injured who later succumbed to his injuries. Indian Army has retaliated the firing and gave befitting reply. Earlier yesterday, a woman was killed in Pakistani shelling in adjoining Mendhar sector.<br/>
