In Jammu & Kashmir, five militants were killed in an operation as the Army foiled major infiltration bid near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.<br/><br/>An Army spokesman told AIR correspondent that the encounter broke out this morning after soldiers spotted a group of militants near Line of Control in Uri sector. He said in the initial gunfight two militants were killed. <br/><br/>He said in the continuing operation, three more militants were killed. Sources said two army commanding officers have sustained injuries in the operation. <br/><br/>The Army spokesman said the warlike stores have been recovered and the search operation continued in the area.
