In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Bandipora District Administration has allowed the residents of Gurez Valley to move to their homes, who were stranded in Bandipora during the lockdown period following the Coronavirus pandemic. These people were screened by a team of doctors before being allowed to proceed to their respective destinations.<br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports, 613 residents of Gurez Valley who were stranded at Bandipora due to the prevailing lockdown were allowed to return to their homes yesterday in 75 vehicles. The passengers were allowed to proceed only after getting screened by a team of doctors.<br />'' <br />'' The vehicles carrying the passengers were also thoroughly fumigated before proceeding to Gurez. The passengers shall also have to undergo the mandatory quarantine. Though Gurez-Bandipora road was opened for traffic earlier this month, the entry of people into the Gurez valley was  banned as a precautionary measure amid COVID-19 pandemic. <br />
