<span style="color: #222222;">Advisor to LG, KK Sharma yesterday discussed through video conference with Union Minister for MHRD Ramesh Pokhriyal in detail the initiatives being taken for providing educational facilities to students of J&K in view of situation arises due to COVID 19 Pandemic. He apprised the union minister about various steps taken by the UT government to provide on-line education to students through various IT-interventions and use of services of Doordarshan, AIR, Private channels which has benefitted a large number of students across the UT.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also informed about the decision of UT government to allow mass promotion of students to next higher classes except 10th and 102 for which decision would be taken at an appropriate time. He also informed that the government has ensured distribution of Mid Day Meal dry ration to all eligible students at their door steps. The Advisor suggested that MHRD should promote on-line education as an integral part of teaching-learning process in the country and also help the states and UTs in providing tablets to the students for accessing online content so that it deepens the learning process in the country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The union minister while appreciating the efforts of UT government in providing on-line education to the students said that they have effectively minimized the academic losses of the students especially during the lockdown period and extra ordinary situation arisen due to COVID 19.</span><br />
