J&K: Advisor Khan reviews power situation in Kashmir Division

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan reviewed the power situation in Kashmir Division and the preparedness of Power Development Department in a meeting with Managing Director, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited and Chief Engineer, Distribution in Srinagar today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The meeting held threadbare discussion on availability of transformers, poles, conductors, enforcement drive and exigency plan kept in place for heavy snowfall.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Advisor stressed on officers to continue enforcement drive to check the theft of electricity.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, while briefing Advisor regarding the preparation of the department, Chief Engineer, Distribution said this year the department is supplying 1400-1450 MW power in morning and evening peak hours.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also informed the meeting that a buffer of 1500 fresh and reclaimed transformers is available with the department. He added that advance dumping of poles and conductors has been made in view of exigency that may emerge during heavy snowfall.</span><br />
