In Jammu and Kashmir, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan reviewed election and winter preparedness of Anantnag & Kulgam districts in a meeting held at Anantnag today.<br />'' <br />''The Advisor was informed that all the arrangements including deployment of manpower, training of polling staff, communication plan, transportation plan, lodging, water, electricity, heating arrangements and medical facilities at all the polling stations have been put in place for smooth conduct of elections in both districts.<br />'' <br />''The Advisor was also informed that a robust mechanism is in place for snow clearance at all the tehsil headquarters and vulnerable spots in both the districts. Disaster management centres along National Highway and other vulnerable spots have been fully equipped to tackle any situation arising out of bad weather. Buffer stocks of all the essentials including ration, LPG & medicine are available in both the districts.<br />'' <br />''The Advisor directed both the DCs to ensure that all the arrangements with regard to smooth conduct of the elections are in place and winter preparedness is satisfactory in both the districts and ensure all the COVID-19 SOPs are strictly adhered during the election process.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Advisor also directed for establishing a dedicated Control Room to ensure adequate power supply to the people during the winters adding that 35 additional power transformers will be provided to each district.</span><br />
