<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, RR Bhatnagar reviewed the progress of works of major projects of the Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department being executed by various agencies under Prime Minister's Development Package (PMDP) at Civil Secretariat, Jammu. Detailed discussions were held on the present status of the works on all major projects that have been undertaken by the executing agencies. The Advisor directed officers of executing agencies to speed up the works and remove all the bottlenecks that are hindering the pace of the works. He stressed upon them to gear up their men and machinery so that the progress on executing works can be speed up and desired results can be achieved on the ground. He asked the concerned officers to submit the progress report regarding the status of work done on all the projects on regular basis so that all these projects can be completed on time.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Registration department has registered sale deeds of about 5509 in Kashmir division and 7050 in Jammu against total registration of 12559 as on 14th of February 2020 since taking over the registration system from the judiciary in the J&K. Union Joint Secretary Land Records (LR) Department of Land Revenue Rural Development, Hukum Singh Meena yesterday reviewed the progress of computerized registration system in Jammu and Kashmir. Chairing the meeting, he stressed upon organizing training programs of officials for capacity building of revenue staff.  In regards to the upcoming training program, Joint Secretary asked the participants to take this opportunity to learn and and familiarise themselves with modern techniques.  He further asked all officials that the registration process shall be integrated and interconnected with revenue offices for automated mutation after rolling out computerized system of registration in JK with ongoing project to Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Mr Bhatnagar also chaired a meeting to review the various road safety initiatives undertaken by the Road Safety Council across Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed upon the officials that the prime objective of road safety measures should be reducing road fatalities and also reducing the congestion of traffic on the roads. He impressed upon the officials to devise action plan for implementing all the road safety measures, interceptors, breathe analyzers, speed cameras etc be effectively used for traffic management. He asked the officials to redesign roads in such a way that on connecting with the highways, they do not create conflict points. He also asked the officials to put up traffic signages on all roads especially hilly roads across J&K as these roads are more vulnerable to accidents. He further directed the officials that the traffic management at toll plazas should be improved and the waiting time reduced with proper lane management. He suggested that all stakeholders like market associations, transport unions etc be involved for managing traffic problems. The Advisor directed all the officials to monitor these enforcement activities every 15 days for effective management of traffic across the Jammu and Kashmir.</span><br />
