In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Adviser to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan today reviewed the functioning of One-Stop-Centres for women in the UT during a meeting at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports that at the outset, the Mission Director of Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS) gave a detailed power point presentation and apprised the Adviser about the working of the centres as well difficulties being faced by them while performing their duties. <br />''<br />''The Adviser said that One-Stop-Centres have been established with an aim to help the women affected by violence in private and public spaces, within the family, community or at workplace. He added that the main objective of One-Stop-Centres is to facilitate immediate, emergency and non-emergency access to a range of services including medical, legal, psychological and counseling support under one roof to fight against any forms of violence against women. <br />''<br />''He emphasized upon proper and effective coordination between the converging departments like Police, Health, Social Welfare and Law to ensure emergency response and rescue services to the women affected by violence. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Moreover, Mr Khan directed for providing qualitative services for the successful operationalization of the Centre. Pertinently, these centres have been established throughout the UT under Centrally-sponsored scheme of Union Ministry of Women and Child Development wherein the victims can seek help in filing FIRs besides legal, psychological, moral and medical support.</span><br />
