In Jammu and Kashmir, Accountability Commission has initiated suo-moto action against the Minister for Public Enterprises, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, who was recently divested of the School Education portfolio over copying scam and issued notice to him to appear in person or through counsel.AIR correspondent reports, the action has been taken by the Commission on the basis of reports regarding use of unfair means by Iman Soubhan Bhat, foster son of Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed during his Secondary School Examination in the year 2009 and abuse of official position by Sayeed in facilitating the use of unfair means.The Accountability Commission observed that though foster son of Peerzada Sayeed was caught by the vigilance squad using unfair means in the examination yet he was not booked and let off on intervention by senior officer of the State Board of School Education at the behest of Minister for School Education.
