<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme has crossed a major milestone of providing 5 lakh free treatments to the citizens of the Union Territory. AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that the AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme has become a ray of hope for poor families who couldn't afford health treatment at prestigious and well known medical institutes of the country. Chief Executive Officer Ayushman Bharat, Ayushi Sudan emphasised on launching IEC activities to create mass awareness among the people of the UT so that more and more people get registered for the SEHAT scheme and are provided free treatment. <br />''<br />''Special drives were launched by the State Health Agency (SHA) to ensure that no one is left without a Golden Card so that they are entitled to its benefits. Worth to mention, recently the SHA launched a special initiative for women and their families associated with Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) to provide them free treatment under the AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme. The Scheme was launched in convergence with AB-PMJAY by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in order to provide health insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family per year to all the residents of J&K at empanelled hospitals. The SHA has also set up a network of more than 8 thousand Common Service Centres (CSCs) across J&K to ensure hassle-free registration of all eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.</span><br />
