In Jammu and Kashmir, nearly seven lakh patients have visited Out Patient Departments (OPDs) in Kashmir hospitals during the last month with the health care institutions successfully performing nearly 49, 000 major and minor surgeries. The data compiled by J&K Health and Medical Education Department, for the month of August reveals that 46, 449 patients have visited Indoor Patient Departments (IPDs) in various government-run health care institutions. The doctors successfully performed 4, 334 major and 44, 236 minor surgeries respectively in peripheral and tertiary care hospitals. <br />''<br />''The official data reveals that 2, 508 normal deliveries were conducted during the month of August as 3, 266 (LSCS) Caesarean sections were also performed across Kashmir hospitals. Meanwhile, according to authorities there is no shortage of essential drugs across the hospitals in Kashmir region.<br />
