J&K: 50th anniversary of India's victory over Pakistan in 1971 war being celebrated as Swarnim Vijay Varsh

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the 50th Anniversary of India's glorious victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war is being celebrated as Swarnim Vijay Varsh. AIR correspondent reports that as part of the celebrations of Swarnim Vijay Varsh, a cycle expedition of Tiger Division will be visiting a number of places along the border areas in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh to reconnect with the Veterans, Veer Naris and also to motivate youth to join the Armed Forces. General Officer Commanding of Tiger Division Major General Neeraj Gosain flagged off the Cycle Expedition from Satwari in Jammu today.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The expedition comprising 12 cyclists from the Garhwal Rifles, unit which took part in Kargil War, will cover a distance of 525 kilometres in 13 days and culminate at Yol Cantonment in Himachal Pradesh. The expedition is aims at to visit 100 border villages of J&K and Himachal to reconnect with the Veterans, Veer Naris and also to motivate youth to join the Armed Forces.</span><br />
